Graduation

It’s a strange feeling to know that you’ve graduated high school.  Everyone says the same thing… in many different ways.  “Dude we graduated :0″  “Dude we graduated “  “Dude we graduated “  “Dude we graduated :/”  Dude we graduated -_-”  “Dude we graduated (^_^…)  But whether we like it, love it, hate it, or not, we’re never going back there again – unless of course you’re in band then I’llsee you at band camp.

It’s been a long “journey, path, trek, endeavor, period of enlightenment” whatever you validictorian speech giver’s wanna’ call it, but it went fast.  Probably faster than any of us every would have imagined.  It feels like last week I was clutching a hot, steamy, artery-clogging Rib-A-Q.  I can hear you at your computer, “Rib-A-Q BOO YAHH!”  Or getting busted for hoods by Desmond, cutting in line for renaissance give-a-ways, asking girls to dances, giving speeches, group projects, GLC’s, band camp, coaches, teachers, lunch ladies, Mrs. Wakefield at the student store, rally’s, spell outs, passing tests, failing tests, cheating on tests, copying tests, getting pissed off-ripping up-and throwing tests.  All things so unique to high school that it’s the only time we’ll do some of those things. 

High school is significant no matter what label you put on it.  If it sucked, I’m sure it sucked hard, if it was great, then I’m sure you’ll value the memories, if it was whatev’s, well then you’re probably Justin Nichols and if it was shady, well then your either Bum, Davis, Ed or Jonathan.  But we will always remember high school.
